Featuring 24 child care spaces, the program is open to Kindergarteners and Grade 1 students and is held in a Kindergarten classroom.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tweedsmuir After School Studio is currently anticipated to start<\/strong> <strong>September 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The program team consists of highly-qualified staff that include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two early childhood educators.<\/li>\n<li>One educational assistant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This arrangement means we work with a lower child-to-staff ratio, ensuring we meet each child&#8217;s individual needs.<\/p>\n<p>The program is guided by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/education-training\/early-learning\/teach\/early-learning-framework\">Ministry of Education and Child Care Early Learning Framework<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Program specifics<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Tweedsmuir After School studio is open during\u00a0<strong>after school hours, Monday to Friday, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The program is <strong>closed during spring break, Christmas break, summer break, statutory holidays, Non-Instructional Days<\/strong>, and on other school closure days (e.g., snow days).<\/li>\n<li>Program fees will be subject to the District being approved for the Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative.
