Summer Learning 2024

Course options are available for learners of all ages throughout the summer months. Whether you’re looking for more support for your child who struggled through the last school year, opportunities for them to get a head start on the coming year, or even ways to continue your own educational journey, we have course selections to fit most needs.

Please note: All courses are filled on a first-come-first-served basis and some may be restricted to in-district students only. Refer to course listings/pages for details.

In-district registration opens at 9 a.m. on April 3. Out-of-district registration opens at 9 a.m. on May 1. Course listings and dates may be subject to change.

Summer learning 2024 programs begin on July 3, 2024 and will run with the following schedules:

  • Grade K-5 classes will end on July 19 (i.e. classes will last three weeks) and run from 9 a.m. until 12:05 p.m. 
  • Grade 6-12 non-credit courses will end on July 19 (i.e classes will last three weeks).  The morning courses will run from 8:55 a.m. until 12:00 noon and the afternoon courses will run from 12:30 p.m. until 3.05 p.m.
  • Grade 10-12 full-credit courses will end on August 2 (i.e. classes will last five weeks).  The morning courses will run from 8:20 a.m. until 12:00 noon and the afternoon courses will run from 12:30 p.m. until 4:10 p.m.

 

Middle and secondary students

Explore our full and non-credit courses aimed at middle and secondary school students. Improve literacy or numeracy skills, nurture creativity through the arts, or help spark a love for the sciences through our summer education programs.

 

Elementary students

Help your child build and reinforce critical learning skills before entering middle school by exploring courses aimed at elementary school students.

  • Build literacy or numeracy skills.
  • Explore your child’s creative side through art, music, or dance.
  • Move your body through sports and recreation.
  • Ignite their curiosity in the sciences and in applied design, skills, and technology (ADST).

Online learning

Online learning is a great solution for students in grades 10-12 or for adult learners who need flexibility. Available 24/7 throughout the school year, digital teacher-supported class options let teens and adults learn at their own pace.

Please note: Students who must take Career Life Education 10 ´Ç°ùÌýCareer Life Connections 12 may complete the course through online learning from July 2 ³Ù´ÇÌýAugust 2.
